Physics
Physics studies matter and the fundamental constituents of the universe. Physicists seek to understand nature at the most fundamental and quantitative level. The physics curriculum provides a broad background in scientific inquiry, quantitative problem solving, emerging research frontiers, and communication skills. Undergraduate research opportunities are offered in areas like particle and nuclear physics, condensed matter physics, astrophysics, quantum information science, and biological physics.
