Students in the Economics program study economic issues at the state, national, and international levels. Areas of focus include Economics of Healthcare, Environmental Economics, Behavioral economics, Neuroeconomics, Experimental Economics, International Economics, and Big Data Economics.

Accelerated 4+1 BA/MA Program: Students can earn both a bachelor's and master's degree in economics with just one additional year, saving students time and money while giving them a significant edge in the job market
Flexible Degree with Specialization Options. Students can customize their degree with options in Data Science, Policy, or Business or they can easily add a minor or second major
Undergraduate Research and Experiential Learning. We run a competitive summer research program pairing undergraduates with faculty mentors, offer internship-for-credit experiences, and send students to competitions like the Fed Challenge and the Econ Games where they compete against economics programs from across the country
Industry Experts in the Classroom. Several electives are taught by professionals who have worked at organizations like Deloitte, the IMF, the State Department, and Facebook. Students learn directly from people who have applied economics in the real world
Study Abroad and Study Away Experiences. Students can earn economics credit while traveling, including a three-week trip across Europe studying the economics of tourism to attending SXSW in Austin to explore the economics of innovation and new ventures
