Nanomedicine
Nanomedicine is similar to Nanosciece in that studentsstudy of materials, phenomena, properties, and applications at the smallest length scale at which we can control matter. The Nanomedicine curriculum is designed for students with an interest in life sciences disciplines (think Biology, Chemistry, etc.) and will educate students to approach revolutionary areas in medicine such as targeted drug delivery, regenerative medicine, and personalized medicine. Like Nanoscience, the major also includes courses that introduce the intricacies of nanotechnology and explore state-of-the-art techniques on how to synthesize and characterize particles on the nanoscale.
Degree Program
Highlights:
Only Nanomedicine Major in the United States and is is designed for students with an interest in the life sciences disciplines (biology, chemistry, etc)
Nanomedicine offers a curriculum that provides a broad training across the physical and life sciences. with applications existing in the treatment of cancer, kidney disease and multiple sclerosis with many more under development
Like Nanoscience, this major also includes courses that introduce the intricacies of nanotechnology and explore state of the art techniques on how to synthesize and characterize particles on the nanoscale
