Repair Cafe & Skills Sharing Workshop
Saturday, April 25,Ìý 2026 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
The Repair Café is a "neighbors helping neighbors" event, held twice each year in partnership with the New River Valley Timebank and the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Christiansburg. Teams of volunteers are on hand at five stations: sewing and mending, knife & tool sharpening, furniture repair, small electronics repair, and houseplant/gardening advice. Come bring items you would like mended, extending their useful life (keeping them out of the landfill). If you want to use this as an opportunity to learn a new skill - your mender can also walk you through what they're doing, so you can fix it on your own next time!
