    Plastics have made our lives incredibly convenient. Plastic bottles, plastic toys, plastic medical devices, and plastic pipes are all inexpensive, durable, and everywhere. The moment we put on our clothes, brush our teeth, finish our breakfast, and hop into our cars, we encounter a multitude of plastics. My colleagues and I have been working on a process to upcycle plastic waste and turn it into soap. Imagine that when you are done with it, your plastic take-home container could be turned into a bar of soap for you to use in the shower.
